Tai Chi
Tai Chi will teach you a method of movement that promotes good health, lower stress, better circulation, balance, improved joint mobility and increased strength and flexibility. It is practiced slowly with precision so it can be practiced by a range of people from those just starting an exercise program or continuing a physical therapy program to the very fit looking for balance to their current exercise regimen. This method of movement is also used as a martial art and the class will be presented with some of the martial applications as a way to better understand Tai Chi.
The Class
The class meets as one group for all levels. Class time is divided into an exercise portion containing warm-ups and fundamental exercises and a forms portion. Attendees learn the forms at their own pace, only moving onto the next form after they are comfortable with the current form. First time attendees should plan on staying for one hour.
